Kuching, Sarawak — 17th November 2025 — East Malaysian metalcore band Breathe In Ocean unveils their newest single “Masyghul,” a gripping and introspective track that dives deep into emotional paralysis, spiritual erosion, and the silent battles fought within the human mind.
Drawing from the Malay/Arabic word masyghul—“burdened,” “troubled,” or “preoccupied”—the song pushes listeners into a haunting world where grief, self-blame, and mental confinement break through the surface. With crushing riffs, atmospheric tension, and raw vocal expression, “Masyghul” becomes one of the band’s most visceral offerings to date.
The lyrics paint a vivid narrative of internal collapse:
A soul drowning in wounds: “Biarkan aku rebah dalam derita yang ku cipta… Ku tenggelam di dalam luka.”
Silent suffering and loss of direction: “Ku menjerit tanpa suara, langkah hilang makna dan tiada cahaya.”
Being trapped by past memories: “Terkurung di dalam kegelapan jiwa ini, terperangkap di memori tanpa erti.”
Faith shattering under pressure: “Hancur segala yang ku panggil iman, retak di genggam tangan.”
The band captures the despair of a collapsing inner world—yet also highlights the quiet plea to be heard:“Dengarkanlah suara, rasa hati gelisah.”
“‘Masyghul’ is about a mind overwhelmed. It’s the feeling of being trapped in your own head—searching for meaning, losing faith, and battling memories that won’t fade,” the band shares. “The song is heavy because the emotions behind it were heavy.”
With its dynamic arrangement, soaring melodies, and emotionally charged breakdowns, “Masyghul” showcases Breathe In Ocean’s continuing rise as a defining voice in Sarawak’s modern metal scene.
“Masyghul” is now available on all major streaming platforms, accompanied by visual content, performance footage, and behind-the-scenes material across the band’s social channels.
